ABOUT THIS CLASS
Dive into a musical ocean adventure as children explore sea creatures and waves through familiar songs, movement, and sound play! This class supports listening, coordination, and imaginative play through ocean-themed music.
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Family Music invites little ones and their grown-ups into a playful, hands-on space built around real musical fundamentals. Children explore real instruments, movement, themed activities, and live singalongs, all designed on the Family Life Education framework and our founder's experience leading organic content strategy for the world's leading pregnancy and parenting brand, What To Expect.
INSTRUCTOR: The class is taught by Ms. Mallory, our music and movement specialist, a children's musician and librarian with 15+ years of experience working with families. With a background in early childhood development and performance, Ms. Mallory helps babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their grown-ups build early musicality, language, and confidence through real instruments, live ukulele, and singalongs. Her warm, responsive approach creates an environment where children and grown-ups feel supported as they sing, move, and play together. She is also a Newborn Care Specialist credentialed through the International Nanny Association.
Simply purchase a class pass or bundle and show up to your class of choice. Reservations are not required.

ROOM LOCATION: This class takes place in Ensemble Room in the Dorothy Delson Kuhn Music Institute on the 2nd Floor.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU GET THERE
When you arrive, please go to the front desk and tell the JCC member that you have arrived for a Happy Day Play class. They will direct you to the room.
Upon entry, please present your confirmation to a Happy Day Play staff member. If you have not registered, you can do so at the start of class by scanning the QR code and registering online.
For play and music classes, please remove shoes and leave on socks. Strollers are permitted but must stay parked outside the classroom. If your baby needs to be nursed or have a bottle, we encourage you to do so to keep them comfortable. All other items with the exception of light blankets and pacifiers should be left with your personal belongings. Your personal belongings will remain visible to you the entire duration of class.
