Baby Sing & Sign Classes

Babies birth to 1.5 years with a grown-up. One price per family.

Baby Sing & Sign helps you connect with your baby through live music and baby sign language in a sensory-rich setting. With a different theme each week, gentle movement, playful repetition, and shared singing, you and your baby build ways to communicate and connect during everyday moments, long before words arrive. It's designed on the Family Life Education framework and our founder’s experience working for the world’s leading parenting brand, What To Expect. Class is taught by Ms. Mallory, a Newborn Care Specialist credentialed through the International Nanny Association.

How Happy Day Play’s Baby Sing & Sign Class Compares

Most baby classes look similar from the outside. The difference is in how they're designed. Here's what sets the Happy Day Play model apart, from how we price to who's leading the room.

The Happy Day Play Model Typical Models
Each week A fresh theme every week, built around a small set of everyday words and signs. Often the same songs and signs each session.
The music Live music and singing in a working ensemble room. Often recorded music in a general space.
How it's designed Built on current child development research for the birth-to-1.5 stage. Often no stated developmental basis.
Take-home support A printout of each week's signs so you can keep practicing at home. Usually nothing to take home.
Pricing One price per family for your baby, ages birth to 1.5 years. Usually priced per child, often with registration fees.
Commitment Walk-in. Come once or every week. Frequently a paid term booked in advance.
Who teaches it Taught by a Newborn Care Specialist credentialed through the International Nanny Association, designed on the Family Life Education framework. Often no stated infant qualifications.
The grown-up's role Built in by design. You learn the signs and use them at home. Parents often just watch from the side.

Why It Works

  • Builds connection through repetition, shared rhythm, and eye contact

  • Supports early social and communication development

For you:

  • You gain simple signs and songs to use at home during feeding, naps, and goodbyes

  • You feel more tuned in to what your baby is telling you
