As a Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the Program Leader, facilitating activities, and ensuring a positive learning experience for children aged 0 to 5.

Program Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Leader in planning and executing engaging and age-appropriate activities for children ages 0 to 5. Collaborate closely to ensure the smooth flow of classes and maintain a nurturing and inclusive environment.

  • Assist with any setup and organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean and safe learning environment.

  • Support the Program Leader in promoting positive interactions among children and families.

  • Interact with parents and caregivers, providing friendly and helpful assistance during class sessions. Foster positive relationships by addressing their inquiries, sharing information about the program, and encouraging their active involvement.

  • Assist with administrative duties such as maintaining attendance records, collecting feedback forms, and organizing program materials.

  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve the overall program, incorporating creativity and innovation.

  • Maintain a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of children. Follow safety guidelines and protocols, including proper supervision, emergency procedures, and adherence to health and hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an early childhood education setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to assist with program coordination and administrative tasks.

  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support various initiatives.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the program and children.
