A weekly musical adventure where your whole family connects, moves, and learns together—right here on Staten Island

Looking for a music class that’s more than just background noise or shaking shakers? Our Family Music class invites families of little ones into a playful, educational space that is ideal for building music fundamentals. Explore real instruments, movement, themed activities, and live singalongs — intentionally designed to support early learning and joyful family bonding.

What To Expect

  • New weekly themes with fun children’s and modern songs

  • Live music and real instruments (including exploring a grand piano in our ensemble room!)

  • Movement, rhythm, and sensory play — including parachute and bubbles!

  • Led by an early childhood music educator and/or family life educator with specialization in the early years

  • Exposes children to real instruments in an operating ensemble room, an ideal environment for learning age-appropriate musical concepts

Scheduling and Pricing

  • Summer Classes: Thursdays from 10:30am to 11:15am in the 2nd Floor Ensemble Room

  • Priced Per Family: $25 non-JCC members, $20 JCC members

  • No commitment classes. Come to one or come to all!

  • Purchase a class pass online and show it to the instructor when you arrive

  • Extra Savings: Purchase a 6 or 10 class bundle (which can also be used on our other walk-in classes for more fun!)
