Classes at Happy Day Play welcome both JCC Members and non-members alike! No reservations are needed. Class passes do not expire. Simply secure your class pass in advance online at this link: Happy Day Play Grown Up and Me Programs at the JCC of Staten Island. Present your confirmation to a friendly Happy Day Play staff member upon arrival, and sign in. We can't wait to meet your family and share the joy of learning together!

Family Music Class: The 90s Called: Inspired by Nickelodeon, Ages 0 to 5
A nostalgia-fueled, high-energy class built on classic 90s songs and Nickelodeon theme songs the parents grew up on, paired with family sing-alongs. This class supports call-and-response, listening for silly sounds, and big whole-body movement.
Family Music Class: From Head to Toe Movement Songs, Ages 0 to 5
A movement-rich class inspired by Eric Carle's From Head to Toe, where children name and move every part of the body and answer "I can do it!" This class supports body awareness, gross motor coordination, and call-and-response.
Family Music Class: Harvest Hoedown, Ages 0 to 5
A country hoedown celebrating apples, pumpkins, and the fall harvest through clapping, stomping, and steady-beat play. This class supports beat awareness, group participation, and gross motor movement.
Family Music Class: Doggyland Jam, Ages 0 to 5
A playful, dog-themed jam tied to the Snoopy and Peanuts week. This class supports listening for cues, animal-movement play, and call-and-response.
Family Music Class: Barnyard Band, Ages 0 to 5
A barnyard band exploring farm animals, their sounds, and a steady marching beat. This class supports vocabulary, sound imitation, and instrument play.
Family Music Class: Spooky Songs & Silly Sounds, Ages 0 to 5
A not-too-spooky seasonal class exploring loud and soft, fast and slow, and lots of silly sounds. This class supports dynamic-range listening, body awareness, and imaginative play.
Family Music Class: Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes, Ages 0 to 5
A classic nursery-rhyme class that builds early-literacy skills through rhyme, rhythm, and repetition. This class supports phonological awareness, memory, and act-it-out play.
Family Music Class: Around the World Travel Songs, Ages 0 to 5
A traveling music adventure around the country and world, moving by car, boat, and plane across many different countries, exploring songs from them all. This class supports transportation vocabulary, cultural awareness, movement variety, and imaginative play.
Family Music Class: Thanksgiving Feast of Songs, Ages 0 to 5
A gratitude-and-feast class full of turkeys, harvest foods, and thankful-heart songs. This class supports vocabulary, steady beat, and group participation.
Family Music Class: Singing in a Winter Wonderland, Ages 0 to 5
A cozy winter class full of snow, sleigh bells, and snowman building. This class supports listening, scarf-and-bell play, and gentle full-body movement.
Family Music Class: Gingerbread Jams, Ages 0 to 5
A baking-themed class about mixing, stirring, and a runaway gingerbread chase. This class supports fast-and-slow tempo play, sequencing, and pretend play.
Family Music Class: NYE Countdown Jams, Ages 0 to 5
A high-energy celebration to close the season with counting, confetti, and a big finish. This class supports counting, anticipation, and whole-body dance.
