Family Crafternoons brings a world of color, materials, and crafting fun to little hands and their grown-up partners. Designed by a child development expert and family life educator, each class offers a nurturing, playful space to connect and create, no matter your artistic experience. It’s cozy, collaborative, and bursting with crafty imagination!

What To Expect

  • Monthly themed traditional arts & crafts projects—paint, collage, paper crafting, and more—to inspire the whole family

  • All sorts of craft supplies (glue, scissors, paper, fabric, stickers, and tactile materials) to spark curiosity and creativity

  • Fun for grown-ups too—parent-child teamwork encouraged

  • Full freedom to create—no checklist, no wrong way to craft!

  • A take-home keepsake each session to cherish or display

  • Led by a dynamic early childhood & family life educator

Scheduling and Pricing

  • Select Thursdays from 4:30pm to 5:15pm at Avis South Shore JCC

  • Priced Per Family: $25 non-JCC members, $20 JCC members

  • No commitment classes. Come to one or come to all!

  • Purchase a class pass online and show it to the instructor when you arrive

  • Extra Savings: Purchase a 6 or 10 class bundle (which can also be used on our other walk-in classes for more fun!)
