Disney Days Demos at JCC of Staten Island Preschool Locations
We all had an enchanting and magical time sharing cherished moments during our Disney Days special class demos with Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 classes at all four JCC of Staten Island preschool locations across the island in November and December 2023. This was followed by an exclusive preschool family play class on Saturday so parents could see all the educational fun that was had!
What fun did we have exactly and how was it educationaL?
Engaging in STEM snow science exploration with Frozen’s Elsa enriches sensory development, introduces concepts of weather and temperature, and promotes early understanding concepts of scientific principles in an age-appropriate and hands-on manner.
Doing the hula dance with Stitch fosters motor skills, rhythm, and cultural awareness. Exploring the ukulele promotes fine motor coordination and fosters foundational musical concepts, along with exercising the concept of cause and effect.
Swimming under the sea with The Little Mermaid enhances gross motor skills and imaginative play. The bubble dance party encourages sensory exploration and fine motor coordination.
Parachute playtime wit Mary Poppins’ song and our friend Mickey Mouse develops teamwork, hand-eye coordination and listening skills.
The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse March aids in letter recognition, spelling, and following directions, promoting cognitive, language development, and leadership abilities.
Crafting a sensory pizza with Woody and Buzz at Pizza Planet supports imaginative play, sensory exposure, and fine motor skills.
Exercising and dancing with Winnie the Pooh contributes to physical fitness and rhythm development.
There was so much laughter, smiles and hugs! We had a couple of days having fun while being secretly full of educational, age-appropriate developmental activities all themed around Disney. But best of all, getting to work with all of these wonderfully smart and adorable kiddos was truly a dream come true! The team at Happy Day Play is grateful for this opportunity.
